E’Log Automation: an exciting journey from 2022 to now!

E’Log Automation recently celebrated its second anniversary. When we started this adventure in 2022, we could hardly have imagined checking off so many goals in just two years. There’s still plenty of work to do, but what a journey it’s been so far! We’re delighted to share some of our key milestones with you.

As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention. This was certainly true for Sacha Van Droogenbroeck, co-founder and CEO of E’Log Automation. With fifteen years of experience in global logistics automation, Sacha noticed a recurring problem: although intralogistics solutions were consistently high-quality, sticking with a single hardware supplier often limited optimisation. This sometimes led to frustration among customers who were seeking a specific solution that their dedicated supplier was unable to provide. ‘I always try to find the best solution for my customers. That’s why I decided to start my own company in January 2022′, explains Sacha.

Mission and vision

The goal is to deliver logistics automation systems tailored to each customer’s unique needs, without having to invest in proprietary hardware. It’s possible to integrate the existing hardware of various manufacturers with the logistical flow of the warehouse or distribution centre.

The idea is to offer simple solutions, rethink existing processes from the ground up and combine the best applications in an innovative way. ‘That’s the common thread in everything we do’, says Sacha. ‘How can we make things newer and better? How can we keep it fun? How can we make a difference?’

Recognition

E’Log Automation is an independent turn-key integrator. ‘We use existing subsystems to build the perfect solution and manage the software that connects these subsystems.’ It all comes down to simplexity: creating simple, efficient solutions for complex logistics environments based on a no-nonsense approach.

The people

E’Log Automation hired its first employee in August 2022: Arnold Melotte. By the end of the year, there were nine. In December 2023, new office locations were added in Herentals and Temse. Now, just two years after securing the first customer contracts, there are more than 50 people in the E’Log family. Talk about explosive growth!

The future

E’Log Automation is forging ahead. ‘We’re not only expanding our services internationally, we’re also planning to establish our first foreign office in July 2024,’ says Sacha. ‘It’s a huge step! We’ll soon have an office in Schiedam, the Netherlands, run by country manager Arnoud Den Hoedt.’ This expansion demonstrates that the solution E’Log Automation introduced in 2022 was a much-needed addition to the automation market, both within and outside of Belgium. ‘Our goal isn’t to be the biggest,’ explains Sacha, ‘but to become the most professional independent integrator in the European Union. In ten or twenty years, we want to look back and say: look what we built. Look at the brand we established.’
