E’Log Automation opens first office in the Netherlands

E’Log Automation opent eerste vestiging in Nederland

At E’Log Automation, we embrace an international mindset. We’ve already delivered solutions to clients across Belgium, Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. Now, we’re taking things even further by establishing permanent locations that enhance our innovative approach to logistics automation. The result? Just two years after launching, we’ve expanded into the Netherlands – an ideal market where our straightforward, no-nonsense approach and cutting-edge systems can thrive.

The Netherlands is familiar territory for E’Log Automation. With its vibrant entrepreneurial culture, innovative companies, and vast network of warehouses and distribution centres, there was considerable demand for our solutions. ‘We’ve already done some great work in the Netherlands’, says CEO Sacha Van Droogenbroeck. ‘Expanding into the Dutch market and embracing our neighbours to the north was the logical next step for E’Log Automation.’ Another logical step was to appoint a local expert to help put us on the Dutch map. We found the perfect fit in Arnoud Den Hoedt, a customer-focused professional with a passion for automation. Arnoud has worked for a wide range of multinationals and brings a wealth of experience with him. As the new country manager, he will help drive the growth of E’Log Automation in Schiedam, just west of Rotterdam, where we’ve been fully operational since June 2024.

Tight labour market

Arnoud recognises that the Netherlands is ready for a revolution in logistics automation. ‘Like Belgium, the Netherlands has an extensive logistics landscape with major ports and easy access to the European hinterland. Local companies are investing heavily in the construction of automated warehouses and improved supply chains, but without innovation, older systems require significant maintenance. This calls for skilled personnel with technical knowledge and experience, which is increasingly hard to find. The tight labour market gives companies extra incentive to rethink their logistics systems.’

Maximising potential

This is where E’Log Automation excels. Retrofitting – overhauling existing installations to meet current safety standards and productivity requirements – is one of our specialties. We help our clients get the most out of their systems for the next ten to fifteen years, without having to invest heavily in new facilities or buildings. ‘We provide customers with robust solutions using their existing hardware’, explains Sacha, ‘by maximising the potential of their installations. Once the solution is in place, our highly trained maintenance technicians visit regularly to make sure everything is running smoothly.’ We aim to be the same flexible, skilled and independent turn-key integrator for the Dutch logistics sector as we are in Belgium.

Growing together

Our ambition is to become just as successful in both countries, and then to expand to other markets step by step. ‘The goal is to achieve maximum success in the Benelux. The Netherlands is an important step in that process’, explains Sacha. Close collaboration between the two countries is key. ‘E’Log Automation Nederland will stand on its own, but we are one team‘, adds Arnoud.
